Pathway Placement Service
IEI has gained recognition from range of Education Institutions around New Zealand to offer students no IELTS entry via our Pathway Placement Service. This service offers students the opportunity to continue their studies at a range of levels, from High School, to Diploma courses or onto Foundation and University options. IEI’s English language courses have been recognized as an acceptable entrance in lieu of the standard IELTS examination. CLTi is a provider of specialist TESOL courses offering high quality courses for students wishing to learn the skills of Teaching. IEI & CLTi work closely together to enable students on completion of their English course at IEI to gain direct, no IELTS entry to one of CLTI’s courses, which includes:
- Preliminary Certificate in Teaching Children
- Certificate, Advanced Certificate & Diploma (Level 6) in TESOL
- Certificate in Teaching English Language Exam Preparation
CLTi recognises IEI as their Preferred English Language School.
ACG in Auckland is part of the wider network of ACG Schools including schools in New Zealand, Jakarta and Vietnam. ACG New Zealand administers the University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies and the AUT International Foundation Certificate on behalf of the Universities and gives students the opportunity to enter two of New Zealand’s top Universities. IEI students can gain direct, no-IELTS entry to these Foundation programmes on successful completion of their English course at IEI. Christchurch School of Music is a specialist School offering music lessons to students of all ages and abilities, aiming to give tuition in practical and theoretical music skills, as well as to provide opportunities for study, practice and performance of a wide range of music. CSM recognises IEI as their exclusive English Language Provider in Christchurch and offers students the chance to package their English at IEI to gain expert tuition in a variety of classical musical instruments.
The Design & Arts College of New Zealand is housed in the same building as IEI in the centre of Christchurch city, so offers students at IEI an easy pathway on completion of their English course to start a specialised course in Design in one of these area: Fashion, Graphic Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Photography or Makeup. Courses range from Certificate level to Diplomas at Level 6 on the NZQA Framework as well as a Bachelor Degree in Fine Art with a major possible in Graphics and Photography as well. Set in the heart of Christchurch’s inner-city restaurant and café scene, is a highly-regarded, small culinary school, offering part time and full-time courses in cooking, hospitality and restaurant management. IEI’s English language courses are recognised for direct, no- IELTS entry to the Certificate in Cookery, Certificate in Cookery & Hospitality Certificate in Wine Knowledge (Sommelier).
