Courses

IEI offers you a quality English language course in small classes at all levels.  You can choose to study 2 weeks or 52 weeks, our staff are here to help support you to meet your academic goals.  You will be tested on your first day to check your level so you can be placed in the correct class.

Academic Progress

It is important to us that you meet your academic goals, so we have a solid testing and support system in place to help you reach your aims.  This includes weekly revision testing, regular personal interviews with your teacher to discuss your progress, individual progress reports written with new academic goals detailed, as well as regular levels tests which determine whether you are ready to go up to a new level.

Class Size

Classes at IEI are small with a maximum of 12 students per class.

Timetable

IEI offers full-time courses between 9am – 3.00pm with 21 hours of tuition per week.  Part-time courses for 15 hours tuition per week are also now available from January 10, 2011.

Wednesday afternoon’s FREE special classes offer you the chance to study a variety of modules such as Working Holiday Job Assistance, Conversation Class, NZ Culture, Business English or other options based on student suggestion.  Our library is stocked with a range of extensive internet-based study resources including:  TOEIC preparation; IELTS & Cambridge preparation support materials; Grammar, Reading, Listening, Use of English, Vocabulary exercises, plus a wide range of DVD, videos and graded readers that students can borrow.
