Intensive General English

We will give you a placement test on the first day of your course to find your level. We will also give you a questionnaire to tell us what you want from your course.
From the test and questionnaire we will put you into a suitable class.

Public Holidays

Start Dates	Every Monday throughout the year, except holidays.
Levels	elementary, lower intermediate, intermediate, upper intermediate, advanced
Class Size	7 average, 12 maximum (usual maximum is 10 students)
Enrolment Fee	NZ$120
Course Fees	1 - 12 weeks: NZ$350 per week 13-24 weeks: NZ$315 per week 25 and over: NZ$295 per week

Rates apply from the first week of study. Rates also apply for exam courses (except TOEIC) and extensions.
The course fees are distributed in approximately the following way:70% for tution and use of resources, 12.5% for 'Goods and Services Tax'(GST), 0.4% for 'International Student Levy', and the rest for pre-course services provided by educational agencies or IEI.

Cambridge(FCE/CAE/PET)

We encourage students to do an international English examination as a proof of their progress and ability in English. The examination courses are highly motivating and provide an internationally recognised qualification. The cost of books is not included in the course fee or exam fee. Examination preparation classes are subject to a minimum of 5 students.

This course is 1 week of test practice and test strategy. It is for students who have already studied general English. It is for all levels of English.

This course is 3 week of TOEIC grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening skills, and 1 week of test practice and test strategy. It is for students of intermediate English ability.

ACADEMIC ENGLISH

IELTS is the most common test for entry to a New Zealand University.
The test has 4 parts: Listening, speaking, reading and writing.
TOEFL is used for entry to American universities. The test has 2 parts:
Listening and reading. Some universities also require TWE: Test of Written English

The Academic English course develops all the skills of English that are required to pass an academic test. The cost of course books is not included in the course fee or test fee.
