Homestay

Staying with a host family is a good way to understand the way of life in New Zealand and to practise English.

Homestay Prices:
Single: NZ$215 per week
Couple: NZ$190 per week per person

Students under 18 (special acceptance required):
Add NZ$20 per week supplement to above prices

Apartments (Flats)

The Institute has a selection of fully furnished apartments (flats) to rent.
All apartments (flats) are located close to the central city and Institute.
Flatstay: Private bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment (flat)
Apartment: Private use of 2 bedroom apartment (flat)

Prices:
Flatstay: NZ$130 per week (rent, electricity, ADSL internet)
Apartment: NZ$260 per week (rent, electricity, ADSL internet)

NOTE: The minimum rental period is 8 weeks. There is a NZ$200 deposit for each renter. The deposit will be returned when you leave the flat clean and undamaged. Due to demand, flats are sometimes unavailable.

Hostel

International English Institute has its own hostel opposite the school: Rucksacker.

IEI students in the TOEIC courses, General English courses or other exam courses can stay at the hostel for a discounted rate.

Discounted price for share room: NZ$17 per day

Winter Weekly Specials:
Dorm or Share ................................. NZ$98 per week
Double or twin ................................. NZ$266 per week

NOTE: This rate only appplies 1 day before the start of a course until 1day after the end of a course.

Airport pickup

Airport pickup

After arriving in New Zealand you will be picked up and taken to your accommodation. Your host family or school staff will give you information about ways of coming to school. On arrival at the school you will be given an orientation by a staff member to familiarise you with the facilities available. This includes use of the kitchens, dining areas, computers, video and book libraries, sports equipment, television lounges and outdoor areas. You will also be given a map showing amenities that are available on the local area.
