Located on the Penthouse floor, (7th floor), of an historic art-deco building in the city centre, IEI enjoys 360˚ views around the city. From the Southern Alps snow-capped mountains to the Cathedral steeple and around the Port Hills over to the Pacific Ocean, every room has a special view over the city. We also have our own private balcony on the 6th floor, offering views towards Sumner and the beach. Here you can enjoy having a coffee or eating your lunch while chatting with your school friends.

With lift access also suited to students with disabilities, you’ll have easy access to the school via Tramway Lane, just off Worcester Street. The school is fitted with modern conveniences, like flat screen TVs and computers, as well as wireless access, so you can easily keep in touch with friends and family back home. The extensive DVD and reading library offers a range of materials that you can borrow during your stay. For a $100 deposit you have access to our library to help your studies after school and in the weekend.
